We partnered with Blue Triangle, a leading social care charity, to strengthen collaboration between their Board and Senior Leadership Team
The opportunity
As Blue Triangle continued to navigate complexity and responsibility within its sector, there was a shared recognition that strong governance and leadership was essential.
Their Board and Senior Leadership Team were committed and highly capable, however they identified an opportunity to deepen collaboration, clarify roles, and create greater alignment around strategy and oversight. Like many organisations, the challenge wasn’t a lack of expertise, it was ensuring that governance conversations continue to be open, purposeful, and grounded in mutual understanding.
The organisation wanted space to step back, reflect, and strengthen how the Board and SLT worked together, particularly around strategic questioning, decision-making, and accountability.
Our approach
We designed and facilitated a bespoke governance and collaboration workshop with their Board and Senior Leadership Team. The session focused on three core areas:
Building relationships and trust between the Board and SLT, creating the conditions for honest and productive conversations.
Clarifying roles and responsibilities, supporting shared understanding of where governance ends and operational leadership begins and where they intersect.
Developing strategic and governance questioning, strengthening the quality of challenge, curiosity, and oversight.
Our approach combined structured reflection, facilitated discussion, and practical tools. This allowed participants to explore real dynamics and decisions in a way that felt relevant, respectful, and actionable.
