I wanted to wear a suit, work in a big office and travel the world on business. I’ve always worked really hard and, ultimately, I made it happen. It maybe wasn’t quite the glamour I was expecting but it was exciting, challenging and really hard work, and I loved it. Until I didn’t.
In 2019 I had my first son and everything changed. When I went back to work I just didn’t feel the same way about it. That, coupled with a pandemic and a wildly active toddler, did not make a fun return to work. I was working all the hours, felt so stressed out and ended up with extreme burn out, which has taken me years to recover from. I knew something had to change. I decided to make the bold move and leave the corporate world and start my own coaching business.
It is the best decision I have ever made; I love working with my clients, setting my own work schedule and of course having more time with my boys.
Fast forward to now and I am so excited and grateful to have joined forces with Katie and Becky to create The Blurred Line. The reality for me is that the line between work and life are now even more blurry. It is the challenge but also the beauty.
We recognise the challenges faced by people, leaders, working parents and we are living it too. Life doesn’t fit into boxes but instead is one big blurry line of navigating life, work, relationships and everything in between.
